Atomic
Sunset is band that characterizes
its music as nu hot rodded rockabilly
because it took rockabilly as main
inspiration. Beside rockabilly, influences
on this band can be found also in
surf, punk, psychobilly, swing, metal
music, and upright bassist and drummer
are classically trained musicians.
Band plays mainly its own music, but
also various rockabilly and rock’n’roll
standards in characteristically explosive
Atomic Sunset style.
“It has always been my wish
to adjust my first love rockabilly
to contemporary styles and make it
acceptable to modern listeners combining
it with other close music genre that
with time made influence on me. In
this kind of fusion exceptional knowledge
of style itself is necessary so that
its own characteristics would not
be destroyed. Rockabilly is specific
form of underground music that never
became mainstream and that distinguishes
it from other music styles. Respecting
tradition I want us to go in accordance
with time. Atomic Sunset is just that
kind of band!”
