Band Havana Whisper is formed in 1999, in Belgrade. It plays rockabilly and swing in specific and unique way influenced by other music styles. In spite of music foundation based on the middle of previous century, this band sounds contemporary and modern. In its base it has vocal, guitar, upright bass, drums, trumpet, tenor saxophone and trombone, but uses also other instruments when needed. Havana Whisper performed in various festivals - from punk to jazz (22nd Belgrade jazz festival, jazz festival in Zelenkovac in 2000 and 2002, 3rd jazz and blues festival in Sabac, punk fest in Dom Omladine 2000...), as a guest of other bands (most important is definitely concert of Bajaga i Instruktori at Tasmajdan stadium in front of 10000 people!), in numerous solo concerts in Serbia, Montenegro, Hungary and Republic of Srpska as well as on national television (concert in LP show was replayed several times on request of audience). Unique style and explosiveness of live performances distinguishes this band from the rest of the actual scene. In March 2002 PGP-RTS published the first album, produced by Djordje Petrovic. Its title - FLAMMABLE (CD413599) says enough about its content.
