last few months were very exiting. I went on my
first US tour with Deke Dickerson and it was
really amazing. It was my honour to perform with
rockabilly originators like Sonny Burgess, DJ
Fontana (yes, the time keeper for the King!),
Joe Clay, Eddie Bond, Gene Summers and Scotty
Moore band (with Paul Ansell and Ashley Kingman
from Big Sandy's Fly-Rite Boys). At Ponderosa
Stomp festival in Memphis, I was lucky to play
with blues greats Jody Williams and Billy Boy
Arnold, both from Bo Diddley's band (Jody even
played lead guitar on Bo's "Who do You
Love"). I'll hit the road with Deke again this
November. Unfortunately "Deke's secret weapon"
Chris Sugarballs will not be able to play drums
with us, but we'll have 2 amazing subs - Liza
Pankrantz (Ronnie Dawson) and Jason Smay (Los
Straightjackets). And yes...we'll have Crazy Joe
on guitar again.
I'm also very happy to announce that Serbian
gypsy band Kal's album was on Top10 of the
World Music Charts in Europe for 4 months. It
even peaked #1 in the month of April. Kal's
producer was Mike Nielsen (Jamiroquai, Natasa
Atlas, Dizzy Gillespie). I played bass on whole
album and it's great to know that I was able to
participate in this project.
I was interviewed on 2 bass websites. You can
check rockabilly bass interview
here, and interview for South African Bass
Players Collective
here. Thanks to everyone who checked my
"Atomic Boogie" video on Youtube. That video
seems to be one of the most popular upright bass
related videos there. If you missed it, you can
see it

I use Thomastik strings for last 16 years. I
never even thought to change them. It's a great
honour to be endorsed by those guys. I've been
contacted by small pickup company Planet to test
their new product. I really liked it and they
offered me endorsement too. Be sure to check
their website
here.
Thanks to all the support you show me by sending
emails, buying CDs and coming to shows.
Unfortunately, I don't often have a chance to
update this w-site, so be sure to check my
myspace page
here.
Hope to see ya all somewhere down the road!
